Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a new wave of Iranian missiles launched toward the country.
The Ministry confirmed that the hostile targets were engaged with high combat efficiency. It also noted that no damage resulted from the interception.
Sites where shrapnel fell
The Ministry revealed that the missile interception resulted in debris falling in various areas of Abu Dhabi. These included:
Saadiyat Island: specifically in the vicinity of the St. Regis Hotel.
Residential areas: Khalifa City, Bani Yas, and Mohammed Bin Zayed City.
Al Falah area: debris fell in these locations, but no injuries were reported.
Defense, readiness, and legitimate response
The Ministry of Defense affirmed its complete readiness to address any future threats.It also stated that it is taking all necessary measures to counter any attempts to undermine the security and stability of the nation.
The Ministry emphasized that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains its top priority, a matter on which there will be no compromise.
The Ministry deemed this attack a “flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.”
It affirmed the UAE’s full right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and safeguard its security.
