Dubai, UAE – Contributions have arrived to the “Lifeline” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation.
Which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
To provide at least one billion dirhams to be invested in combating child hunger in the world, to more than 460 million dirhams, a week after its launch.
This proceeds came from donations from major shareholders, businessmen, individuals, companies, and public and private sector institutions.
In a major community interaction with the campaign, it reflects the authentic values of goodness in Emirati society, and its keenness to support the campaign’s goals of providing food and protecting children from hunger according to a clear methodology.
In addition to promoting the values of compassion, solidarity and empathy, and extending a helping hand to the most needy groups.
The “Lifeline” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation.
It comes in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF”, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, and Action Against Hunger.
