Dubai, UAE – Friends of Cancer Patients Association launched its annual “Zakat Campaign” 2026.
It aims to collect and allocate zakat and donation funds to provide material and moral support to cancer patients, contribute to covering treatment costs, and strengthen the psychological and social care system that extends to include patients’ families.
This year’s campaign comes under the slogan “Goodness has people”.
It is based on a humanitarian message that assures patients that communities and institutions constitute their second family, in line with the spirit of the “Year of the Family” in the UAE.
It also emphasizes the values of goodness and giving that surround the patient, and gives families the ability to continue the treatment journey with stability and reassurance.
In addition to alleviating the financial pressures associated with treatment.
Aisha Al-Mulla, Director of the Friends of Cancer Patients Association, confirmed that the campaign this year focuses on activating the impact of zakat as a direct means of supporting patients and their families. Embodying the spirit of the holy month and coinciding with the Family Year in the UAE.
She noted that every contribution makes a real difference in completing treatment and improving quality of life.
She said: “The campaign confirms that giving during Ramadan is a support whose impact extends to the patient and his family”. We call on community members to direct their zakat, charity and donations through the association to support patients and contribute to covering treatment costs.
