Dubai, UAE – Emirates Health Services Corporation showcased its innovative project for early detection of autism spectrum disorder using artificial intelligence technologies.

This is a proactive step that promotes digital transformation in healthcare services and supports early detection and effective intervention pathways.

The project is based on implementing an early screening mechanism for 18-month-old children in primary health care clinics, as well as at home via the smart application.

In addition to routine questionnaires used to detect autism, –eye movement tracking technology supported by artificial intelligence is used.

The research project has so far included more than 120 children, as part of a joint collaboration between the Emirates Health Services Foundation and the University of Dubai.
