Davos, Switzerland – The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and the World Economic Forum signed an agreement for the next phase of their partnership concerned with developing smart health systems and long-term healthy living.
This consolidates Abu Dhabi’s position as a global leader in preventive and personal health.
The agreement was signed during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
This is part of the UAE pavilion as part of Abu Dhabi’s efforts to work with world leaders to create the future of health.
The step comes as a continuation of the previous phase of cooperation between the department and the forum.
Which resulted in the publication of a joint research paper entitled “A New Era for Digital Health: Abu Dhabi’s Leap Towards Healthy Intelligence.”
The paper reviewed how Abu Dhabi succeeded in building an integrated system linking clinical, genomic, environmental and lifestyle data.
With the aim of predicting risks, preventing diseases, and supporting health policy-making on a broad population scale.
As part of the next phase, Abu Dhabi continues its role as a leading global entity to explore and experiment within the World Economic Forum’s Digital Transformation in Healthcare initiative.
It is an international platform led by CEOs and ministers, and includes more than 200 entities from the healthcare, technology, policy-making and investment sectors.
With the aim of accelerating the transformation of global health systems and reimagining the concept of health through digital innovation, artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions on a large scale.
The Abu Dhabi experience continues to inspire global dialogues and chart paths of cooperation in priority areas.
It includes developing the concept of long-term healthy living supported by health research, and the role of smart health systems in supporting public health policies and decision-making.
In addition to integrating digital technologies, data and artificial intelligence across the health system.
This is in integration with the Forum’s broader initiatives, including the Healthy Lifespan Initiative and the Senior Health Officials Community.
In addition to the partnership concerned with the sustainability of health systems and their ability to meet challenges.
To enhance the connection between Abu Dhabi’s experience and global policy, health and investment leaders.
