Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Ports Group announced that Sven Drydocks, a subsidiary of the group and part of Noatom Marine, has acquired 100% full ownership of the Balenciaga Astilleros shipyard.
It is one of the most prominent and technologically advanced shipyards and maintenance docks in Spain.
This corresponds to a total value of 11.2 million euros.
This acquisition strengthens Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s operations in Spain and the Mediterranean region, and supports its growing expansion in the offshore wind energy sector.
The basin is located in the Basque Country and will continue to operate as the Balenciaga Shipyard.
He has nearly a century of experience in shipbuilding, supported by advanced infrastructure including two dry docks and a 105-meter-long house.
It also owns a factory extending over an area of 22,385 square meters, equipped with the latest automation and manufacturing technologies.

The basin is one of the leading facilities for manufacturing large prefabricated structures for marine projects, and one of the most prominent shipbuilding facilities with high engineering complexity.
