Al Ain, United Arab Emirates – The activities of the Al Ain Book Festival 2025, organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, will begin on Monday.
This will take place from November 24 to 30, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain Square, and a number of the city’s most prominent cultural sites.
To offer its visitors an integrated knowledge, cultural, and community program that enhances Al Ain’s presence as a national center for literary creativity and knowledge exchange.
This session witnesses wide participation, including more than 220 publishers and exhibitors presenting more than 100,000 titles, as part of the center’s vision aimed at supporting the presence of the Arabic language, enabling reading, and expanding the base of Emirati creators.
This edition also offers a rich cultural program exceeding 200 events, including literary and cognitive sessions, cultural dialogues, performances, heritage and artistic activities, and children’s programs.
Reflecting Abu Dhabi’s vision of supporting cultural mobility and enhancing the presence of knowledge in daily life.
Al Muwaiji Palace is hosting the fourth edition of the “Poetry Nights: The Singing Word” program, which will feature eight evenings hosting a group of Emirati and Gulf poets.
To celebrate the biography and achievements of three of the late icons of Emirati folk poetry, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Dr. Hazza bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and poet Hamad bin Suhail Al Ketbi, in appreciation of their contributions to preserving the national poetic memory and documenting the features of the local environment.
In its current session, the festival continues its interest in young talents through the “Poets of the Future” evening.
In addition to the “Poetry and Society” session, Al Ain city institutions and councils also organize a group of sessions that address issues of national heritage, identity, and youth empowerment.
Notable additions
The new session of the festival brings notable additions through the launch of a package of new events.
The most prominent of these are the interactive program “For Us” and the “We Gather Together on the Footsteps of Knowledge” initiative in cooperation with Al Ain Sports Club.
This is to encourage society to adopt an approach that combines culture and health.
The educational program includes dozens of scientific and theatrical activities, competitions, and artistic workshops directed at children and families.
In addition to events dedicated to people with disabilities.
The “On the Path of Knowledge” initiative extends to the city’s schools and universities to introduce students to the festival’s message and its role in building a reading and informed society.
The festival strengthens its presence as a platform to honor literary creativity.
By celebrating the winners of the “Kanz Al-Jeel” Award in recognition of their contributions to the poetic and literary scene, and the consolidation of aesthetic values in modern Emirati literature.
In addition to highlighting the aesthetics of the national poem in a creative space that brings together generations.
