His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, raised the UAE flag on the flagpole of Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi. This was in celebration of Flag Day, and in recognition of what it represents in terms of loyalty, belonging, and pride in unity under its noble banner.
The flag-raising ceremony was accompanied by the playing of the UAE national anthem, performed by a group of retired officers. This was an expression of the nation’s appreciation for its citizens who have contributed to its development and progress throughout its various stages.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said: “On the occasion of Flag Day, the symbol of our unity and pride, we raised the UAE flag with the participation of a group of retired officers. He emphasized their contributions to the nation’s development and progress, noting the dedication and commitment of generations of citizens to serving their country.”
