Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, met with US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner during their visit to the UAE.
During the meeting, the latest developments regarding the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip were discussed, as well as the efforts made by the United States to ensure the agreement is implemented within the framework of US President Donald Trump’s plan, according to WAM.
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed praised the US President’s efforts to end the war in Gaza and achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, appreciating the significant role played by envoys Witkoff and Kushner in this regard.
The meeting also discussed ways to enhance regional stability and the need to end the ongoing escalation, which would contribute to achieving opportunities for sustainable development and prosperity in the region.
Witkoff and Kushner recently toured Israel, where they held talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the ceasefire agreement and visited the Gaza Strip accompanied by officials from the Israeli military and US Central Command (CENTCOM), among others, according to an Israeli military statement.
