Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE air defenses detected and destroyed nine ballistic missiles today (March 6, 2026). They also detected 112 drones, intercepting 109 and destroying three within the country’s territory.
Total number of attacks since the start of the conflict
Since the start of the blatant Iranian aggression, 205 ballistic missiles have been detected. 190 ballistic missiles were destroyed. Thirteen fell into the sea, and two landed within the country’s territory.
Additionally, 1,184 Iranian drones were detected, and 1,110 were intercepted. Seventy-four drones crashed within the country’s territory. Eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
Human losses and demographic diversity of those affected
These ongoing attacks resulted in the deaths of three residents of Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities.
Health authorities also recorded 112 minor injuries. These injuries affected a wide range of nationalities residing in the country, including Emirati citizens and residents from Egypt, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, the Comoros, and Turkey. The Ministry of Defense affirmed its readiness to address any threats and its commitment to resolutely confronting any attempts to undermine the security of the nation, thereby safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protecting its national interests and resources.
