Moscow, Russia – Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) brings tangible benefits
to all participating countries and achieves “significant returns” at the economic and social levels.
Putin said at the start of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, held in an expanded format,
The assembled leaders affirmed that participation in the work of the Union contributes to accelerating
the growth of industrial production and the economy in general.
This is in addition to expanding opportunities for communication and interaction between citizens of member states,
adding that “the overall impact of this cooperation is largely positive.”
Economic integration mechanisms
At the same time, the Russian president pointed out the importance of
each member state studying all aspects related to joint work within the framework of the Union.
This ensures that maximum benefit is derived from the mechanisms of economic integration.
Putin also expressed his gratitude to the participants for coming
to St. Petersburg and taking part in the Eurasian Union events.
Welcome to the countries and delegations that have joined the meeting in its expanded format,
from partners and friends who are showing increasing interest in cooperating with the Union.
Active cooperation relationships
He expressed confidence that this interaction would be beneficial to the Council
and to other countries that are interested in joint action.
The expanded meetings of the Eurasian Economic Union
witnessed the participation of non-member states of the Union.
Among them are Cuba and Iran, which have active cooperative relations with the Eurasian bloc.
