Two people drowned on Friday in the Umm Uthaym area of Asilan District in Shabwa Governorate. They were swept away by floods.
Last Wednesday, Bayhan District witnessed the death of two children who drowned while swimming in a pond. This incident happened in the Al-Jadfara area.
In Hadramaut Governorate, a young man died after drowning in a deep pond. This pond was left by torrents of rain in the Al-Suwairi area in Tarim District.
Heavy rains fell on other areas in the governorate.
Meteorological centers warned of the continued impact of the depression in the coming days. There are expectations of more rain accompanied by thunderstorms on the southern and eastern coasts of Yemen.
She also called on citizens to be careful and not risk approaching flood channels and dams.
