Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – Al Wasl secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over hosts Al Bataeh at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium. This match concluded the fourth round of the ADNOC Pro League. Ali Saleh scored the only goal of the match in the 30th minute, giving his team three vital points. This brought their tally to seven points in fifth place, while Al Bataeh remained in twelfth place with three points.

Al Wasl started the match with clear attacking pressure. They almost took an early lead after a powerful shot hit the crossbar in the 10th minute. Then Ali Saleh managed to unlock the defense with a wonderful direct shot that found its way past goalkeeper Ibrahim Eisa. Saleh continued his dominance over Al Bataeh. He had contributed to five goals (scoring two and assisting three) in the seven previous league meetings between the two teams. Al Bataeh tried to come back at the start of the second half with a powerful shot from Evoni. It was firmly blocked by Al Wasl goalkeeper Mohammed Ali. Despite both teams’ attempts to invigorate the attack through substitutions, Ali Saleh’s sole goal was the difference. The match ended with Al Wasl winning, securing three valuable points.
