Moscow: The UAE Hot Air Balloon Team is participating in the third edition of the Russian Brotherhood International Hot Air Balloon Festival, which launched from the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod and will continue until July 1. The festival is witnessing broad international participation, including teams from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Belarus, and Armenia, in addition to several Russian teams.
Captain Pilot Abdulaziz Nasser Al Mansouri, Head of the UAE Hot Air Balloon Team, told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the team’s participation goes beyond sporting activities to promote Emirati culture and highlight the deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries. He noted that the team performed free-flight displays in the presence of Russian officials and media outlets.
Al Mansouri praised the interest the participation received from the Russian leadership, commending the broad public response to the team’s activities and nighttime performances throughout the festival. He explained that this participation in Russia is part of the team’s second international tour, which launched from the British city of Bristol with the aim of promoting the ancient Arab and Islamic culture throughout the world.
