Beirut, Lebanon-Judge Zahir Hamad, a Lebanese judicial investigator, agreed to release Hanibal Gaddafi, the son of former Libyan President Muammar.

In the case of kidnapping and hiding Imam Mous alsadr,

he exchange for a bail of $11 million and was banned from traveling.

Lebanese authorities received Hannibal Gaddafi in December 2015, hours after an armed group announced his kidnapping.

This was after he was lured from Syria, before being released in the Bekaa region.

The Lebanese judiciary interrogated Hannibal and issued an arrest warrant

against him on charges of “withholding information” regarding the case of Imam Musa al-Sadr.

This step comes a year after a Libyan delegation visited the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

At the time, the delegation spoke about the continued detention of Hannibal Gaddafi for more than nine years (at the time) without trial.

He is responsible for the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr.

He was last seen in Libya on August 31, 1978, after arriving there on an official invitation.

On the 25th of the same month, he was accompanied by his two companions, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoub and journalist Abbas Badr al-Din.
