Paris, France – French press reports have revealed new developments regarding the injury of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe, which he suffered during the match against Real Betis in the Spanish League.
The match, which was held at the “La Cartuja” stadium and ended in a 1-1 draw, saw Mbappe leave the field in the 81st minute after feeling pain in his left hamstring.
L’Equipe reported that the player underwent an ultrasound scan. This scan did not reveal any serious injury, which boosted the optimism of the team’s medical staff.
She added that Mbappé will undergo an MRI scan to determine the nature of the injury more precisely. This step will also help in determining the potential duration of his absence, as part of the routine procedures followed before a final diagnosis.
The newspaper explained that medical staff prefer to wait at least 48 hours after an injury. This is to ensure the patient’s condition stabilizes before issuing a definitive assessment.
However, Mbappé’s participation in the upcoming match against Espanyol, scheduled for Sunday evening, has not been ruled out. This depends on how his condition develops over the next few days.
