Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Wasl secured a valuable away victory against Ajman, winning 3-1. The match took place on Saturday evening at Ajman Stadium, concluding the 22nd round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al Wasl increased their points tally to 36, moving up to fourth place in the standings. Ajman, meanwhile, remained on 24 points in eighth place.
Al Wasl asserted their dominance early on, controlling the flow of the game in Ajman’s half. They threatened the home side’s goal on several occasions and then converted their superiority into a goal in the 37th minute through Miguel Borja.
Ajman almost equalized in the final moments of the first half, but their goal was disallowed for offside.
In the second half, Ajman’s performance improved significantly, and they pressed hard in search of an equalizer. This forced Al Wasl to retreat somewhat and organize their defense.
As the game progressed, the two teams traded control. Al Wasl then extended their lead with a second goal in the 74th minute through Ali Saleh. The goal came after a brilliant pass from Brian Palacios.
Just three minutes later, Al Wasl added a third goal. The team benefited from an own goal by Ajman goalkeeper Ali Al Hosani, which made the home side’s task even more difficult.
