Abu Dhabi, UAE – Shabab Al Ahli reached the semi-finals of the President’s Cup after securing a 3-1 victory against Khorfakkan in the quarter-final match held on Sunday evening at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium in Ajman.
Al Ahli’s youth team imposed their control on the course of the game from the beginning, and succeeded in translating their superiority before the end of the first half, when Saeed Ezzatallah rose to meet a cross and put it into the net with a perfect header in the 45+5 minute, giving his team the lead at an ideal time.
As the second half began, the team continued its offensive pressure, with Guilherme Bala adding the second goal in the 52nd minute with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area.
Bala did not give his opponent a chance to catch his breath, as he returned just four minutes later to score his second personal goal and his team’s third in the 56th minute, taking advantage of a defensive error that put him in front of the goal, and he confidently finished the ball into the net.
Before the end of the match, specifically in the 88th minute, Mohammed Shaker scored Khorfakkan’s only goal with a header that found the back of the net.
