Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Ain cruised to a 3-0 victory over Dibba in their quarter-final match of the UAE President’s Cup, played Saturday evening at Rashid Stadium. The win secured Al Ain’s place in the semi-finals.
After a relatively balanced first half, Al Ain managed to assert their dominance in the second half. Moroccan Soufiane Rahimi opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, receiving a cross and firing a powerful shot that nestled into the net before touching the ground.
Al Ain continued their attacking pressure, with Togolese Kodjo Laba adding the second goal in the 77th minute. He received a pass from the left side and shot it from close range into the goal.
Only two minutes later, Rahimi returned to confirm his team’s superiority, scoring the third goal in the 79th minute after penetrating the penalty area and a shot that practically ended the match.
