Cairo, Egypt – Al Ahly’s head coach, Yce Torop, emphasized the importance of tomorrow evening’s match against Tanzania’s Young Africans in the CAF Champions League.
During the press conference held at Borg El Arab Stadium, he explained: “We are preparing well for the match, especially since the past period witnessed the absence of international players and we relied on young players during that time”.
He explained: “We have a tough match against a strong opponent who has the same number of points. We are striving to give our best… Al-Ahly players have trained hard and we have prepared well for this match”.
Torop indicated that he is fully focused on the Young Africans match in order to secure a victory, especially with several new signings included in the squad.
He added: “We have international players who had commitments to their national teams, which is something we accept and deal with as a matter of fact. We seek to build on the victories we achieved before the long break”.
Al Ahly is scheduled to meet Tanzania’s Young Africans tomorrow, Friday, at Borg El Arab Stadium, as part of the third round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
