Al-Hilal won the Riyadh derby after defeating their rival Al-Nasr 3-1 in the match that took place on Monday evening at the “Kingdom Arena” stadium, as part of the fifteenth round of the Saudi Roshan League.
The match was intense and open from the opening minutes, with both teams exchanging attacks, before Al-Nassr managed to snatch the lead in the 42nd minute through Cristiano Ronaldo, who capitalized on a ball that reached him inside the penalty area and fired it powerfully into the net. The first half ended with Al-Nassr in the lead.
With the start of the second half, Al-Hilal imposed its control over the course of the game, and succeeded in equalizing in the 57th minute through Salem Al-Dawsari from a penalty kick, which restored momentum to the blue team.
Just three minutes later, Al-Nasr’s task became more complicated after their goalkeeper, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, was shown a red card.
Al-Hilal clearly exploited the numerical disadvantage, continuing their offensive pressure until they managed to score the second goal in the 81st minute, after Mohamed Kanno converted a perfect cross from Ruben Neves into the net.
Before the final whistle, Neves returned to make his mark with a third goal in stoppage time, confirming Al-Hilal’s superiority and their victory in the derby.
