Rabat, Morocco – The Senegalese national team secured the first ticket to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, after defeating the Sudanese national team by three goals to one, in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening.
The Senegalese national team met Sudan at the Grand Stade de Tanger, as part of the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Sudanese national team entered the match strongly from the first minutes, and succeeded in surprising the Senegalese national team with an early goal scored by Amir Abdullah in the sixth minute, after he took advantage of a ball inside the penalty area and fired a shot that settled in the net, giving his country’s team an early advantage.

With this victory, Senegal became the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, awaiting the winner of the Tunisia-Mali match in the next round.
