Rabat, Morocco – The match between Morocco and Mali ended in a 1-1 draw on Friday evening in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Moroccan and Malian national teams met at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, as part of the second round of group stage matches.
The Moroccan national team took the lead first through Ibrahim Diaz in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time (45+5), from a penalty kick that he successfully struck to the right of the Malian national team goalkeeper.

With this result, Morocco increased its points tally to 4, maintaining its lead in Group A. Mali and Zambia are tied for second and third place with 2 points each, while Comoros sits at the bottom of the group with 1 point.
The “Atlas Lions” team needed to win today’s match in order to officially secure their qualification to the round of 16 as group leaders.
