Doha, Qatar – Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai faces a tough challenge this Tuesday evening against Qatari side Al-Sadd. This match is part of the AFC Champions League 2025-2026 season.
Shabab Al Ahli will be a tough opponent for Al Sadd of Qatar at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, in the sixth round of the AFC Champions League.
Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai currently sits in fifth place in the AFC Champions League with 10 points, while Al-Sadd of Qatar is in tenth place with two points.
Al Ahli’s youth team will be aiming for a victory in today’s match against Al Sadd of Qatar, in order to officially secure their qualification for the Round of 16 with two matches remaining in the group stage.
Al Sadd enters the match with no alternative but to win, in order to maintain its chances of qualifying for the round of 16.
Al Sadd coach challenges Al Ahli youth
In this context, Italian Roberto Mancini, coach of Al Sadd, said about facing Shabab Al Ahli: “The match is of great importance to us. We need to win in order to get back on track, despite the difficulty of the match”.
He added: “The match will not be easy against a strong opponent, but in football nothing is impossible. We are suffering from many difficulties and problems. This is due to the large number of absences, whether due to injuries or the loss of a number of players as a result of participating in the Africa Cup of Nations”.
The Al Sadd coach concluded: “We are confident in ourselves and will do our best to achieve our goal. This is despite the fact that we have only trained with the group fully for a few days after the break during the Arab Cup”.

Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa, manager of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, emphasized in his press conference that his team is determined to win in order to secure qualification for the Round of 16.
He added, “We will face a tough competitor and a team that has dominated Qatari football titles recently. It also has many outstanding local and professional players in its ranks”.
He concluded, “We want to continue delivering good performances. We want to maintain our balanced approach and progress up the standings. Al Sadd will have their last chance to keep their qualification hopes alive. They have a strong desire to win, which requires us to stay focused”.
