Doha, Qatar – The Moroccan national team qualified for the semi-finals of the Arab Cup after defeating Syria 1-0 in the match that brought them together today, Thursday, in the quarter-finals.
Morocco’s second team met Syria on Thursday evening at Khalifa International Stadium, as part of the quarter-finals of the Arab Championship.
The match started strongly from both teams, with Syria’s goalkeeper Amin Zahzouh saving Elias Hadaya’s header in the 12th minute.
In the 28th minute, after a video review, the referee refused to award a penalty to Syria.

Walid Azaro succeeded in scoring the opening goal for Morocco in the 79th minute, after following up on a shot by Munir Sha’ir that was parried by the goalkeeper.
