Cairo, Egypt – Al-Ahly’s first team doctor, Ahmed Gaballah, announced that Mostafa El-Ash suffered a concussion during training on Monday.
Ahmed Gaballah said, in statements published on the club’s official website, that Mustafa Al-Ash suffered a minor concussion during Al-Ahly’s training session on Monday at the Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium in Gezira.
He added: “Immediate intervention was made, first aid was provided, and it was decided to keep the player in a hospital for 24 hours to be under medical observation.”
He added: “The bird is undergoing further necessary tests to ensure its condition is accurate.”
Mustafa Al-Ash’s injury comes after Al-Ahly announced that three players were injured: Mohamed El-Shenawy, the team’s goalkeeper, with a hamstring injury, and Ahmed Abdel-Qader with a hamstring tear.
Al Ahly is preparing to face Morocco’s Royal Army team next Friday in the second round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly had achieved victory in the first round against their Algerian counterpart, JS Kabylie, with a score of (4-1) in the match that was held at Cairo International Stadium.
