Cairo, Egypt – Shabab Al Ahli Dubai achieved a valuable victory over their host Khorfakkan with a score of 1-0, in the match that brought them together today in the opening of the eighth round of the ADNOC League.
Shabab Al Ahli Dubai were a tough guest for Khorfakkan at the Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, as part of the eighth round of our league.
Shabab Al Ahli started the match strongly and posed a threat to Khorfakkan’s goal early on, as Yuri Cesar shot a wonderful scissor kick in the eighth minute that almost went into the net were it not for the brilliance of goalkeeper Ahmed Hamdan.
Al Fursan continued to put pressure on Khorfakkan, with “Bala” delivering a dangerous cross in the 27th minute, which the home team’s defense saved with difficulty.
Al-Ahli defender Renan also missed a clear goal opportunity in the 29th minute, in front of the goal after a corner kick went over his teammate’s chest and reached him, then he shot a ball that went just past the post.
In the dying moments, specifically in the 87th minute, Guilherme Bala fired a rocket shot from the edge of the penalty area that nestled in the far left corner of Khorfakkan’s goalkeeper.

With that result, Shabab Al Ahli raised their points tally to 17, remaining in third place, level on points with second-placed Al Wahda but behind on goal difference. Meanwhile, Khorfakkan’s points total remained at 8, leaving them in tenth place.
