Khorfakkan defeated its guest, Kalba, 2-0. The match took place on Saturday evening, as part of the President’s Cup.
Kalba hosted Khorfakkan at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium in the round of 16 of the local championship.
Khorfakkan scored the first goal in the 57th minute, through Ailton Felipe, after a one-on-one with the goal.
While Salim Amallah added the second goal in the 90+3 minute, after a shot from inside the penalty area that found the net.
Kalba players then tried to equalize the score, but to no avail. The match ended with Khorfakkan qualifying for the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup.
Shabab Al Ahli defeats Al Bataeh and secures a place in the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup.
In the same round, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai defeated Al Bataeh 4-2 on penalties after the match ended in a goalless draw after regular and extra time.
Shabab Al Ahli will meet Al Bataeh at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium at 4:55 PM UAE time.
