Kigali, Rwanda – The Emirates XRG cycling team was crowned road racing champion at the 2025 World Cycling Championships on Sunday.
This came after Slovenian star Tadej Pugachar led them to a historic victory. He kept the team in the title for the second year in a row.
The tournament was held in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.
Pugachar was able to impose himself strongly from the early stages.
He launched continuous bursts more than 100 kilometers from the finish line.
Only his teammates Isaac del Toro and Juan Ayuso withstood him.
In conclusion, Pugachar stole the spotlight by recording a time of 6:21:20 hours. He was 1:28 minutes ahead of Belgian Remco Evenipol. Pugachar was also more than 2:16 minutes ahead of Irishman Ben Healy.
To win its second consecutive world title. This victory gives the UAE team a historic title that strengthens its position at the forefront of world cycling.
