Lightweight fights launch judo team’s participation in Grand Prix Championship in China

The Judo Federation confirmed in a statement that the draw for the tournament, scheduled from September 26 to 28, will be held the day after tomorrow, Thursday, at the Conson Sports Center Hotel in Qingdao.

Lightweight fights launch judo team's participation in Grand Prix Championship in China
The second day's competitions will witness the "light middle" weight qualifiers/WAM

Beijing, China – The UAE national judo team opens the Grand Prix Grand Prix Championship in the Chinese city of Qingdao.

This will be with the participation of player Simon Constantine in the “lightweight” competitions, under 60 kg, on September 26.

The Judo Federation confirmed in a statement that the draw for the tournament, scheduled from September 26 to 28, will be held the day after tomorrow, Thursday, at the Conson Sports Center Hotel in Qingdao.

It is hosted by the Chinese Federation under the supervision of the International Federation, with the participation of 250 male and female players from 26 countries.

He pointed out that the UAE national team delegation joined the delegations’ residence on Wednesday, coming from Japan, headed by Dr. Nasser Al-Tamimi, member of the Olympic Committee and Secretary-General, and including coach Victor Siktrov and 5 players.

He explained that the second day’s competitions will witness the “light middle” weight qualifiers, under 73 kg and 81 kg.

This was with the participation of Karim Abdel Latif, Naji Yazbek, “weight under 73 kg”, and Omar Murad, “weight under 81 kg”.

While our national team concludes its participation next Sunday through player Suleiman Ibrahim in the heavyweight category, “under 90 kg”.
