Kalba, UAE – The match between Ittihad Kalba and Al Wahda ended in a goalless draw today at Kalba Stadium, in the opening fixture of Matchweek 3 in the ADNOC Pro League. Kalba reached four points to sit fifth in the table, while Al Wahda raised their tally to five points in third place.
The first half saw balanced play, with both sides struggling in the final touch. Al Wahda’s Omar Khribin wasted a promising chance after losing his balance, while goalkeeper Zayed Al Hammadi denied a dangerous attempt from Kalba.
The second half started with more intensity, as VAR overturned a penalty decision awarded to Al Wahda in the 51st minute. Later, the post denied a powerful strike from Al Wahda’s Ruben Felipe in the 71st minute.
Al Wahda pressed hard to snatch a late winner, while Kalba relied on quick counterattacks behind the high defensive line of their opponent. However, the finishing touch was missing at both ends, with the goalkeepers ensuring their nets stayed clean until the final whistle, sealing a goalless draw that fell short of both teams’ ambitions.
