Casablanca, Morocco – The UAE swimming team concluded its participation in the fourth Arab Aquatics Championship for age groups, held in Casablanca, Morocco.

The team achieved remarkable success, winning a total of 11 medals: 5 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze. Notably, they also set 5 new records, further solidifying the UAE’s position as a dominant force in Arab swimming.

Among the UAE national team swimmers, 17-18 year old Rahim Talaba shone by winning three gold medals in the 800m freestyle, 400m freestyle, and 1500m freestyle races. In addition to his gold medals, Talaba also secured a silver medal in the 200m freestyle and set three records in the long and medium distances.

Swimmer Hussein Shawky also made significant contributions to the team’s success, winning gold medals in the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle races. His performances were even more remarkable as he also added two new records to the national team’s record in the 100m butterfly.

At the girls’ level, swimmer Edora Obara also achieved remarkable success, winning bronze in the 100m freestyle, two silver medals in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly, and a silver medal in the 4x100m mixed freestyle relay race.
