Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The fifth round of the second edition of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship for the “without suit” category competitions begins tomorrow.

The tournament will be held in the gym at Al Nasr Club in Dubai. It will take place amidst a large turnout from club and academy players of all age groups and will continue until August 17.

The fifth round will witness wide participation at various age levels. The first day includes competitions for under-12, under-14 and under-16 years.

On the second day, competitions for under-18s, adults, and professors will be held.

Mubarak Saleh Al Menhali, Director of the Technical Department at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, stressed that the tournament represents an important milestone. It is crucial in developing players and preparing them for local and international events.

He pointed out that the large participation in the “without the suit” competitions reflects the remarkable development of Jiu-Jitsu in the country. The increasing demand for it from various groups supports this view.

He added that this tournament is not just a competitive arena. It is also an ideal platform for honing talent, testing tactics, and developing skills in a high-level environment.

Al-Menhali explained that the “without the suit” competitions are characterized by great technical challenges. They require greater speed, flexibility and skill than the control methods in traditional suit competitions.

He stressed that this gives players the opportunity to gain new experiences. Especially with the unique system adopted by the tournament, which ensures equal opportunities and enhances the spirit of competitiveness.
