Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The UAE Pro League announced the shortlists for the Best Awards ceremony for the last season 2024-2025, on August 9, at the Emirates Palace “Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi”.
The shortlist for the Ballon d’Or award for best player includes: the trio Mehdi Qaidi (Kalba), Sardar Azmoun (Shabab Al-Ahly), and Caio Lucas (Sharjah).
Competing for the Golden Boy Award for Best Under-23 Player are Brahima Diarra (Al Wahda), Guilherme da Silva (Shabab Al Ahly), and Siaka Sidibe (Al Wasl).
Ali Khaseef (Al Jazeera), Adel Al Hosani (Sharjah), and Hamad Al Muqbali (Shabab Al Ahly) are competing for the Golden Glove Award for Best Goalkeeper.
The list of the Leader Award for Best Coach includes Paulo Souza (Shabab Al-Ahly), Milos Milojevic (Al-Wasl), and Olario Cosmin (Sharjah).
The shortlist of players nominated for the Best Player award consists of the public’s choice: Mohamed Elneny (Al Jazeera), Lucas Pimenta (Al Wahda), and Fabio Lima (Al Wasl).
The award for the most beautiful goal is limited to players Sufyan Rahimi (Al Ain), Nabil Fekir (Al Jazeera), and Omar Kharbin (Al Wahda).
The shortlist for the Excellence in Professionalism and Licensing Award witnesses competition between Al Ain, Al Jazira and Al Wahda clubs, while Al Wasl, Al Ain and Al Jazira clubs compete for the Fans League Award.
