“Al-Freij Refrigerator” concludes its second edition with support from “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives”

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The second edition of the humanitarian community campaign “Freej Refrigerator” concluded its activities. The Al-Furaij refrigerator initiative distributed more than a million bottles of water to those in need.

It achieved its goal of distributing two million bottles of water, juices and ice cream to workers in various regions of the Emirate of Dubai. The success of Al-Furaij refrigerator in achieving this feat is commendable. 

It was launched on June 23, with support from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation. The foundation was also instrumental in the widespread reach of the Al-Furaij refrigerator. 

This is part of its efforts to mitigate the effects of summer heat on workers. It also aims to promote the principles of compassion and giving among various segments of Dubai society. The significance of the Al-Furaij refrigerator cannot be overstated in achieving these goals. 

The campaign, organized by Farjan Dubai in cooperation with the Emirates Water Foundation and the Emirates Food Bank, targeted cleaning and construction workers. It also included delivery drivers and agricultural workers on the streets and roads. 

This is to contribute to reducing health risks associated with high temperatures, such as dehydration and heat stress. 

The campaign received wide interaction from government agencies and private companies. 

More than 15 entities participated in supporting its goals. They contributed through the participation of their officials and employees in distributing water and cold drinks to workers at their work sites. This showcases the effectiveness of the Al-Furaij refrigerator in community engagement. 

In addition to providing the requirements for its success. 

The list of entities and companies that supported the campaign included: Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai Customs, DP World, Saqia Emirates, Emirates Food Bank, Higher Colleges of Technology, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company –DO, Emirates Islamic Bank, Azizi Real Estate Development Company, Dubai Commercial Bank, Prime Health Group, and GMG. 

This interaction embodies the deeply rooted human values in Emirati society. 

It also reflects the institutions’ commitment to their social responsibility. Moreover, it shows their appreciation for the vital role played by workers in driving progress and prosperity in Dubai. 

The “Freej Refrigerator” campaign attracted 250 volunteers from various segments of society. 

They covered dozens of vital sites on a daily basis, ensuring that water and cold drinks reached workers. 

This contribution reflects the level of community awareness and individuals’ keenness to support humanitarian and charitable initiatives. 

In a way that embodies their firm commitment to spreading the values of solidarity and social solidarity. 

Campaign partners played a pivotal role in the success of the “Freej Refrigerator”. 

The support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation was a fundamental pillar. It enabled the campaign to distribute two million bottles of water, juices and ice cream to workers within two months.

Cars roaming Dubai

Emirates Food Bank has provided warehouses equipped to store water, drinks and ice cream. 

He also allocated his refrigerated distribution vehicles to ensure their safe and rapid delivery to workers’ locations across Dubai. The efficiency of the Al-Furaij refrigerator system was crucial in achieving this. 

In addition to the participation of his volunteers in field distribution operations. 

The Emirates Water Foundation also contributed to supporting the campaign by providing large quantities of cold water to distribute to workers. 

As part of its implementation of the “Freej Refrigerator” campaign, “Farjan Dubai” relied on operating refrigerated cars. These cars roam various regions of the Emirate of Dubai. 

This is to distribute water, juices, and ice cream to workers, in addition to providing fixed refrigerators in their homes. 

This contributed to enhancing the campaign’s ability to reach the largest number of workers. It helped put a smile on their faces and bring joy to their hearts. 

Social responsibility

The campaign embodies Farjan Dubai’s efforts to enhance the commitment of residents of residential neighborhoods in Dubai to their social responsibility. This is especially towards the category of workers, in appreciation of their efforts and dedication to their work. 

Farjan Dubai is a social enterprise that seeks to empower local communities in Dubai’s residential neighborhoods. 

In addition to enhancing communication and trust between it and governmental and private institutions. 

This is done by stimulating the spirit of volunteering and community contribution. It aims to create a community movement that improves the quality of life and promotes positive behaviors and values in society.
