New Jersey, USA – A recent study issued by “Forbes Research” for 2025 revealed a sharp disparity in the global digital transformation map; as major companies have made great strides

Highlights
  • Implementation gap and revenue size
  • companies..Maturity and investment levels
  • Business optimism despite challenges

in adopting artificial intelligence technologies,

While small and medium-sized enterprises are still struggling to catch up,

their leaders are very optimistic about the future returns of this technology.

Implementation gap and revenue size

The study, which surveyed more than a thousand top-tier leaders,

showed that revenue size plays a crucial role in the speed of adoption.

While 73% of the leaders of giant companies (whose revenues exceed $15 billion) reported

Using artificial intelligence comprehensively, this percentage did not exceed 22% for smaller companies.

In contrast, the vast majority of medium-sized entities (78%) rely on partial applications and limited initiatives.

companies..Maturity and investment levels

Furthermore, the technical gap is widening significantly; 58% of leaders of large companies describe their technologies

as “advanced or transformative,” compared to only 13% of those of smaller companies.

Based on this discrepancy, a parallel gap in future spending emerges;

85% of CFOs at large organizations plan to increase their AI budgets,

This investment appetite drops to 54% among small businesses.

Business optimism despite challenges

Despite these differences, small businesses have shown resilience

and optimism regarding return on investment and the impact of technology on jobs.

95% of its leaders expect to achieve rewarding returns, a percentage

that closely resembles the expectations of the giants.

Small businesses also believe that artificial intelligence will not significantly threaten workforce stability.

They believe the impact on jobs will not exceed 2% over the next two years.

In conclusion, the study found that the technological gap

between the two business poles still exists, but it is likely to gradually shrink.

This is attributed to growing confidence in returns and an increasing trend

among small businesses to improve customer experience through innovative AI solutions.
