Beijing, China – The Chinese robot “AgiBot A2” has achieved an unprecedented feat, entering the Guinness Book of Records after covering

a distance of 106 kilometers in just three days, traversing various surfaces and adhering to traffic laws.

The journey began in Suzhou, a city in eastern China,

and the robot arrived in the historic Bund district of Shanghai.

This would make it the first humanoid robot to cover this distance in record time.

Advanced technologies

The company that developed the device, Agipot, explained that the robot traversed various surfaces steadily,

taking into account traffic signals and local regulations.

The journey was documented through promotional videos showing the black

and silver robot moving slowly and precisely to reach its goal.

The Ajibot A2 robot is distinguished by its ability to perform

customer service tasks, as it is equipped with a “chat” feature.

It possesses advanced lip-reading technologies, enabling it to interact

with humans in various work environments.

This achievement comes as part of global efforts to invest in Physical AI,

which enables robots to understand the laws of physics

and interact with the human environment naturally.

humanoid robot

Morgan Stanley predicts that the number of humanoid robots could exceed one billion by 2050.

The Chinese government is encouraging local companies to develop

such robots so that China can become a world leader in this field.

Beijing hosted the first World Games for Humanoid Robots in August.

This involves more than 500 “robot athletes” participating

in various competitions ranging from basketball and dancing to cleaning hotel rooms.

The achievement of “Agiboot A2” is a significant step in integrating intelligent robots into daily life,

and indicates China’s progress in the interactive robotics and smart services sector on a global level.
