Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Health experts from several leading universities in artificial intelligence research have warned that artificial intelligence not only confuses users’ thoughts and minds. This is a result of misleading information. It also creates a feeling of psychological confusion in them.

Several recently published studies have discovered that AI can change perceptions of reality. This occurs as part of a “feedback loop” between AI chat platforms and mental illness.

Which reinforces any delusional beliefs the patient may have.

In addition, a team from the University of Oxford and London College stated in an unpublished research paper: “While some users talk about the psychological benefits of using artificial intelligence, worrying cases are emerging. These include reports of suicides, violence, and delusional thoughts related to emotional relationships that the user falls into with Chat platform”.

The research team warned that “rapid reliance on chat platforms as personal social companions” is not subject to sufficient study.

Another study, conducted by researchers at King’s College London and New York University, indicated 17 cases of psychosis diagnosis.

This is after interacting with chat platforms such as ChatG. B. T” and “Copilot”.

The second team added: “AI may reflect, validate, or amplify fictitious or exaggerated content. This is particularly true in users already prone to psychosis, in part because models are designed to increase user engagement.”

According to the scientific journal Nature, psychosis can include “hallucinations, delusions, and false beliefs..

This condition can result from mental disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, high stress, and substance abuse.

A different study published recently showed that chat platforms appear to encourage people who talk to them about suicide to commit it.

AI chat platforms have become notorious for “hallucinations.”

It provides inaccurate or exaggerated answers to inquiries and claims from users.

While more recent research indicates that it is impossible to eradicate this feature from chatbot platforms.
