New feature.. WhatsApp allows writing messages with artificial intelligence

California, USA – WhatsApp, a social media app company, has introduced a new feature powered by artificial intelligence.

This feature enables users to rephrase, proofread, or adjust the tone of their messages.

The feature, called “Write Help,” utilizes specialized processing technology from Meta Platforms, the parent company of WhatsApp.

Users can receive AI-generated responses without sharing or rephrasing their original message with WhatsApp.

This ensures the privacy of messages on the platform even when using the new tool.

The writing aid provides AI-generated message suggestions after users rewrite their messages in a professional, fun, supportive, or with new wording.

WhatsApp conducted a test of the new feature.

When users provided an original message like “Please do not leave your dirty socks on the couch,” the AI-powered “writing aid” rephrased it into humorous phrases.

Some examples include “Please don’t make the sofa a sock graveyard,” “Breaking News: Socks were found on the sofa… Please move it,” and “Sock expert, laundry basket this way!”

WhatsApp aims to provide a way for users to write good messages within the application, eliminating the need for external applications like ChatG.B.T.

However, TechCrunch, a technology-focused website, acknowledged that this feature might not appeal to everyone.

Some users may prefer personal, honest conversations with friends and family over AI-generated messages.

While using artificial intelligence to rewrite official emails is acceptable, using it for personal messages to friends or relatives raises concerns.

Users can access the new feature by clicking on the new pen icon that appears when they type a message in the app.

The “Write Help” feature has been available in English in select countries since last Wednesday.
