Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, stressed that his country will not compromise on its national interests.

This came as negotiations continued between Iran and the European Troika in order to reach a solution on the nuclear file.

Mousavi warned: “If the enemy makes new mistakes, he will receive a strict response that will make him regret it”.

Israel has failed

In a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq war, Mousavi considered that “the enemy failed during the 12-day war. This failure was in the face of local military and defense power. The regional capabilities and the decisive and equal response of the Iranian armed forces also contributed”.

He also stressed the need to “develop modern and advanced defense technology, enhance deterrence, and prepare to confront complex warfare.”

“Especially the cognitive war waged by the enemy,” he said, referring to Israel.

He pointed out that the armed forces are “ready, relying on strategic surprises, to confront any threat posed by oppressors in the world. They will respond with an immediate, decisive and deterrent reaction that exceeds imagination”.

These statements came after Israeli sources revealed that the Mossad deployed about 100 foreign agents inside Iran. This deployment occurred before the outbreak of the 12-day war last June.

This is in a process described as unprecedented in size and complexity.

She explained, “The mission of these agents was to target Iranian ballistic missile platforms and air defense systems”.

In addition to providing direct support for Israeli air attacks.

Negotiations with the European Troika

Iran continues its negotiations with the European Troika. This follows after the Security Council voted last week not to permanently lift the sanctions imposed on it.

In late August, Britain, France and Germany launched a 30-day process to reimpose sanctions.

Tehran was accused of not adhering to the nuclear agreement concluded in 2015. The aim was to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon.

This mechanism will reimpose UN sanctions on Iran unless an agreement on the postponement is reached. Tehran and the main European powers must come to a consensus.

An arms embargo, uranium enrichment and reprocessing, and ballistic missile activities capable of carrying nuclear warheads will be reimposed.

As well as assets around the world and Iranian individuals and entities.
