Kuwait – The State of Kuwait announced that it has addressed the United Nations and the Security Council regarding the recent developments related to Iranian attacks in the region. It stressed the need for the international community to take action to contain the escalating tensions that threaten the security and stability of the Middle East.
In an official statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Kuwait sent a formal memorandum to the Security Council and the UN Secretariat outlining the recent developments and their repercussions on regional security. It also warned that the continuation of military operations could lead to further tension and instability in the region.
In its message, Kuwait emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of international law and the UN Charter. It stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states and refraining from targeting their security or jeopardizing their stability. Kuwait also noted that the ongoing military escalation threatens collective security in the region.
Kuwait called on the international community to take urgent steps to halt the escalation and work to de-escalate tensions through diplomatic channels, ensuring the protection of regional security and preventing a wider conflict.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry also affirmed that the country is closely monitoring regional developments and working in coordination with its regional and international partners to support efforts aimed at reducing tensions and maintaining stability.
