Amman, Jordan – King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed his country’s readiness to take all necessary measures to ensure the Kingdom’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens, in light of the rapidly evolving regional developments.
This came during a visit by King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordanian Armed Forces, to the General Command of the Armed Forces. He was accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II. The King also reviewed the operational readiness of the various branches of the armed forces.
Monitoring the level of military readiness
During a meeting with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, the Jordanian monarch received a briefing on the readiness of the armed forces and their plans to address current challenges.
He was also briefed on the level of military preparedness across various units and formations. This comes amidst the regional situation and the security developments unfolding in the region.
Praise for the role of the army and security services
King Abdullah II praised the efforts of the Jordanian Armed Forces and security services in protecting the nation and its citizens, emphasizing that the armed forces possess a high degree of readiness and efficiency.
He noted that these efforts reflect the commitment of the armed forces and security personnel to defending Jordan and protecting its borders and airspace. These efforts also contribute to countering any potential threats that could affect the Kingdom’s security and stability.
Military modernization and development plans
The Jordanian monarch also received a briefing on the comprehensive modernization and development programs being implemented by the armed forces, aimed at enhancing their defense capabilities and operational efficiency.
The King affirmed that Jordan will remain safe thanks to the efforts of the armed forces and security services. He also emphasized that the Kingdom will take all necessary measures to maintain its security and stability and protect its citizens.
