Beirut, Lebanon – The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) revealed new details regarding the Israeli military airstrike on the Ramada Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon, early Sunday morning. The strike targeted what it described as high-ranking officials from the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. Meanwhile, the Iranian embassy in Lebanon quickly denied reports that its ambassador had been targeted.
Five Iranian officials are in the crosshairs
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) confirmed that the Israeli army acknowledged targeting a specific room inside the Ramada Hotel in Beirut. It also indicated that five high-ranking Iranian officials from the Quds Force were staying at the hotel at the time of the strike. Kan described these officials as being responsible for mobilizing forces in Lebanon and Palestine.
Furthermore, Kan clarified that the list of those targeted included members of Iranian intelligence. The list also included financial officials in the Quds Force. Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced that it is conducting a thorough investigation into the results of the assassination operation. This is particularly important given the conflicting information regarding the extent of the casualties.

The Israeli airstrike targeted the Raouche tourist area in central Beirut. This area is one of the most vibrant and crowded with civilians and tourists. According to Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Lebanon, the operation resulted in four deaths and ten injuries.
In its official statement, the Israeli army did not simply announce the operation. It also leveled direct accusations against the Iranian regime. The statement said that it “operates systematically within civilian society, using civilians as human shields to carry out terrorist attacks.” Furthermore, the statement added that the “Lebanon Corps” links Hezbollah to the Iranian regime and serves as a liaison between senior Revolutionary Guard officers and the party’s leadership.
Tehran denies involvement… and the front escalates.
The Iranian embassy in Lebanon immediately issued a statement categorically denying media reports that the Iranian ambassador was among those targeted at the Ramada Hotel. It described these reports as baseless rumors.
Moreover, this attack comes amid escalating military confrontations along the Lebanese-Israeli border in recent days. Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been exchanging fire at an increasing rate. This has fueled fears that the escalation could spread to wider areas in the region.
