Dubai, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met today, Thursday, with His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, to discuss the latest developments in the region. They also discussed the recent attacks against the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and several other brotherly nations.

Joint condemnations of the attacks

Both sides condemned the brutal attacks, which constitute a clear violation of international conventions and state sovereignty, affirming that these attacks threaten regional and international security and stability. They also stressed that both countries reserve the right to take all necessary measures to protect their assets and ensure the safety of their citizens.

Strengthening military cooperation

The call emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in the defense field to counter any potential threats. This coordination reflects the two countries’ commitment to maintaining regional security and ensuring the protection of their borders and vital interests.

Following up on developments with sister countries

The call also emphasized the need to monitor developments with neighboring countries to ensure appropriate preventative measures are taken. This follows a series of phone calls made by the Crown Prince of Dubai to the defense ministers of Kuwait and Qatar. This move aims to unify regional efforts to counter any potential escalation in the region.
