Tehran, Iran – Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei commented on recent remarks by US President Donald Trump. His comments came after Trump acknowledged the Iranian regime’s resilience in the face of long-standing US attempts to undermine it.
Acknowledgment of reality
In a speech delivered at the Khomeini Hosseiniyeh in Tehran, Khamenei indicated that Trump’s remarks represented a tacit admission of American failure. He added:
“The American president said in one of his recent statements that the United States has been unable to eliminate the Iranian regime for 47 years; he complained to his people, and this is a good admission.”
A direct message to the US President
The Iranian Supreme Leader did not merely analyze the statements; he delivered a direct and firm message to Trump. In his address, he affirmed Iran’s continued resilience in the face of external pressures, stating, “And I tell you: you too will not be able to do that.”
These statements come at a time of escalating tensions in the region. Therefore, they reflect the Iranian leadership’s ongoing defiance of American policies.
