Tehran, Iran – Iran sent an official letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency, confirming its position on the recent American threats.
Warning of the repercussions of any escalatory steps that might target
its nuclear program or its cooperation with the UN agency.
The letter explained that Tehran is committed to its international
obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
But at the same time, it will not stand idly by in the face of what
it described as “political pressure and blackmail” practiced by Washington.
She argued that the threat of using sanctions or force undermines
the dialogue process and weakens the agency’s role as a neutral technical body.
Iran stressed that its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency
must remain within its technical and legal framework, far from political dictates.
Calling on the international community to exert pressure to ensure respect
for signed agreements and to refrain from using the nuclear issue as a bargaining chip.
This message comes at a time of renewed tension in Iranian-American relations.
Amid intense diplomatic efforts and fears that mutual escalation
could complicate the regional and international landscape,
This opens the door to more serious scenarios in the next phase.
