Washington, DC – US President Donald Trump strongly condemned the release of a new batch of photos and documents from the archives of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. He described the release as a “media hoax” aimed at discrediting prominent figures.
Trump, in remarks reported by US media, said that photos of public figures like Bill Clinton are being unfairly presented to the public. He also asserted that some of the encounters were social and innocent, with no legal implications. He added, “I don’t like seeing photos of people appearing with her at parties or social events being used to smear their reputations.”
Trump pointed out that there were also photos of him in the archive. However, he argued that their inclusion in these documents was being exploited politically. He accused his Democratic opponents of turning the issue into a political tool against Republicans.
In a related development, the U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that the temporary removal of some photos was intended to protect the rights and privacy of the victims. It clarified that this was not to protect any public figure. The release process will be gradual and in accordance with the law.
These statements come at a time when the release of Epstein’s files is sparking widespread debate about transparency and legal accountability. This is especially true following public demands for the full and unreserved release of all documents.
