South Africa – South Africa considered the recent G20 summit a pivotal moment in the course of international economics and politics. It emphasized that it was not just a routine global meeting, but an event that solidified its position as an influential voice within the evolving international system.

Officials in Pretoria noted that the broad participation and substantive agreements reached at the summit reflect the world’s transition to a new phase of multilateral cooperation, where developing countries now have a stronger presence and greater ability to shape the priorities of the global economic agenda.

South Africa affirmed that the gathering provided an opportunity to revisit vital issues facing the African continent, foremost among them sustainable development and financial institution reform. It also included support for emerging economies in confronting the complex challenges posed by successive global crises.

Political circles in Pretoria believe this summit could mark the beginning of a new era in international relations. It paves the way for greater balance in global decision-making and gives African countries more influence and effective participation.
