Tehran – Iran – The Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization announced that the death toll from the recent war has risen to more than 3,000, highlighting the scale of human losses caused by the conflict.
Officials explained that around 40% of the victims remain unidentified so far due to the intensity of the explosions and the damage to the corpses, which complicates efforts to identify them and return them to their families.
The report indicated that teams from the Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization are working intensively through DNA analysis and attempting to match data with family reports, amid a growing number of missing persons.
These figures reflect the scale of the humanitarian disaster caused by the war, as international calls continue to demand de-escalation and the opening of safe corridors to facilitate relief operations and identify victims.
