Abdullah bin Zayed discusses developments in Gaza and Sudan in a phone call with the US Secretary of State

Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from His Excellency Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State. During the call, they discussed the deep-rooted strategic relations between the two countries. They also discussed a number of regional issues and developments of mutual interest.

The call addressed the current situation in the Gaza Strip. Both sides emphasized the importance of supporting the objectives of the Peace Council and implementing the plan of His Excellency US President Donald Trump in its entirety. This contributes to strengthening the humanitarian response to the needs of civilians in the Strip and alleviating their suffering, especially given the difficult humanitarian conditions.

During the call, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s commitment to working jointly with the United States. His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Marco Rubio discussed several other topics of mutual interest related to strengthening the strategic relationship between the UAE and the United States. They also explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various political and diplomatic fields, serving the shared interests of the two friendly nations.
